2017 has been a great year for Juliette!
This past winter season has been both an incredible and challenging experience. I started off the season by going down to Wanaka with my coach Oliver(PO) in the July holidays, there I was able to learn and train on New Zealand’s best park at Cardrona. Back in the north island I spent my weekends either at Mt Ruapehu riding with friends or back home in the fridge working on tricks.
The first comp of the winter season was the Turoa Slopestyle which I came away with first place. One of my highlights of the season would have been the North Island Secondary School Champs where I spent the week riding and competing at Mt Ruapehu with my school team. There I came away with first overall in the North Island getting second in both Slopestyle and Boarder cross.
At the I end of the season I flew back down to Wanaka to meet up with my coach to train for Junior nationals where I came away with a third in my favorite event of Slopestyle. The last competition of the year was indoor nations held at Snowplanet. It was a super fun event which people from all over New Zealand came up to Auckland to compete in and I came away with a second place in the open women’s category.
Thank you to my coach, family and sponsors for making this season one of the best ones yet.More about Juliette
