The Summit Conference centre is a unique Auckland venue with two dedicated conference and meeting rooms plus a lounge and a restaurant. The centre can be arranged in a number of different configurations to suit small to medium size groups. The snowboard room can be set up as either a board room that accommodates 10 people or a theatre that will hold up to 20 people. The larger Backcountry room can accommodate 18 people when set up as a boardroom but it can also be opened out into the breakout lounge. The combined space of the Backcountry meeting room and the Breakout lounge can seat 22 people around a u shaped table, 30 people in classroom configuration, 50 people when set up as a theatre or 140 people for as cocktail party function venue. If you need a larger space for your corporate event or product launch the 7 Summits Restaurant and Bar can hold 350 people for a cocktail party or seat 180 people for a Banquet dinner. The conference centre is 20 minutes from downtown Auckland city in Silverdale on Auckland’s North Shore.

Snowplanet’s conference facilities include all of the AV equipment you need. The Snowboard room comes with a 60inch plasma television and wireless keyboard and mouse. We also have an Interactive Panaboard available for an extra charge. The Backcountry Room has a Data/video projector and motorised projector screen, iPod connection via amplifier, wireless microphone, In-ceiling and box speakers, presentation switcher, wireless keyboard and mouse, BluRay DVD Player.

Snowplanet Function Centre FAQs:

How far in advance do we need to book our function at Snowplanet?
At Snowplanet we are able to cater even for the most last-minute of group bookings. However, in order to secure instructors and for catering purposes we recommend at least 3 working days for your corporate booking. These bookings are also subject to availability, so try and book early so you don’t miss out!

Your packages do not suit our company’s needs exactly – is there any way you can cater for us?
Absolutely! Here at Snowplanet we are extremely flexible and willing to customize our packages to your company’s needs.

Can we book exclusive use of your entire facility – including conference rooms, restaurant and the snow dome?
Yes, you can! The exclusive use of our snow dome and all other facilities can be negotiated on a case by case basis.

What does “Rental Equipment” mean?
Rental equipment includes skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots.
Waterproof jackets and pants, gloves and wristguards are all available for hire at an extra charge.
If you wish to go skiing or snowboarding helmets are compulsory. If you do not have a helmet, you must hire one for $6.

So what else do we need to bring if we’re going on the snow?
Warm suitable clothing is required. As many warm clothes as possible! Warm beanies and socks are a must as we do not hire them at Snowplanet. We do have a small range available for sale if you do not have any.

Where can we store our gear during the day?
For corporate groups we have the option of storing equipment within our function centre. We also have lockers available to hire at $5 for 3 hours, or $7 for the whole day.

Where can our delegates who aren’t skiing or snowboarding watch from?
We have a panoramic view of the snow dome from our 7 Summits Restaurant & Bar. The restaurant has a lovely log fire to keep all spectators warm and happy!
