6 Week Programs at Snowplanet

Term 1, 2019
Tuesday 5th March – Sunday 7th April

In addition to all the athlete training prices below, you may also need a Snowplanet RFID card to access the lifts and ski mat in the Snow Dome.  A deposit of $6 is charged for this RFID card. Please keep the card for future use (duration of the program) or return it for a full refund.

Helmets are compulsory for all skiers and snowboarders in the Snow Dome. If you do not have a helmet, you must hire one for $6.


365 Skills Development

TRAINING DAYS & TIMES

  • 2 hours of training each week
  • Sundays (4:00pm – 6:00pm) 

The 365 Skills Development Training is a program for skiers & snowboarders to develop strong fundamental skills in a high performance environment. This outcome-focused program has a strong emphasis on preparing athletes for competing at the North Island Primary / Intermediate / Secondary School Championships.

Training Criteria:
Ages: 6yrs – 18yrs
Skiers: Skier can confidently complete a Giant Slalom race course with parallel edged turns
Snowboarders: Snowboarder can confidently complete a Giant Slalom race course with smooth edged turns

Cost: $300 Members | $360 Non-Members

Ski Racing

TRAINING DAYS & TIMES

‘Entry’ Race Programs

The ‘Entry’ Race Program is focused on developing young skiers and giving them a basic introduction to ski racing- including techniques and learning to ski basic race courses.

  • 1.5 hours of training each week
  • Wednesday (4:30pm – 6:00pm)

‘Intermediate’ Race Programs

The ‘Intermediate’ Race Program provides a platform for racers to start developing more advanced race techniques and look at individual training techniques.

  • 1 Hour, 45 minutes of training each week
  • Tuesday (4:15pm – 6:00pm) 

‘Advanced’ Race Programs

The ‘Advanced’ Race Programme is perfect for experienced racers looking to push themselves in a technical and competitive environment.

  • 1 Hour, 45 minutes of training each week
  • Tuesday (6:15pm – 8:00pm) or Wednesdays (6:00pm – 7:45pm)

Cost: $276 Members | $342 Non-Members

Freestyle Ski & Board

  • 1 Hour, 45 minutes of training each week
  • Fridays (5:00pm – 6:45pm) 

‘Entry’ Program

The ‘Entry’ Program is focused on developing young skiers and snowboaders giving them a basic introduction to Freestyle- including techniques and learning to ride basic jumps and boxes.

‘Intermediate’ Program

The ‘Intermediate’ Freestyle Program provides a platform for athletes to start developing more advanced jump and rail techniques and look at individual training techniques

‘Advanced’ Race Programs

The ‘Advanced’ Freestyle Program is perfect for experienced athletes looking to push themselves in a technical and competitive environment.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • By signing up to a full payment you receive 10% off the full price. Discount only applies to full term payments no partial term payments.
  • Members include: Year, Half Year & Family Membership holders.
  • All fees must be paid prior to first session and are non-refundable.
  • Minimum numbers per program and groups apply.
  • Make up sessions only apply due to sickness or illness. Please contact michelle@snowplanet.co.nz to lodge a missed session.
  • Maximum of 2 make up sessions per term are allowed, with 1 carried over to the next term.
  • Photos and videos of your children might be taken during a session and used on Social Media, if you do not agree to this please contact michelle@snowplanet.co.nz
  • Snowplanet is not responsible for any injury that occurs during the use of our facility.

Drop in sessions
For those who wish to come on a casual basis and not commit to a weekly training session you can join in at a drop in rate of: Non-Members $70 per session | Members $60 per session
