What to wear.
It’s a cool place to be, alright. -5ºC cool.
The temperature inside the snow dome is on average, around -5ºC. Warm suitable clothing is required. If you do not have any you can hire or purchase these from Snowplanet.
To ensure you get the best experience at Snowplanet, here’s a list of equipment and clothing to get you started:
- Helmets
(compulsory for all skiers and snowboarders) - Wristguards
- Waterproof gloves
- Waterproof jackets & pants
For sale at BASE retail:
- Beanies and socks
- Warm layers of clothing under your waterproof layer
- Goggles

No matter what your skill level is, we’ve got a place for you.
For First Timer’s and absolute Beginners, we have our Beginner’s area, serviced by a 70m ski mat. If you’re still not sure about your skill level or if you’ve never skiied or snowboarded before, we highly recommend booking a lesson.
If you’re confident on the snow, let the Poma lift take you up to the top!

Snow pass.
You shall… pass. With the right pass, of course.
In addition to all Snow Passes listed below (including Combos), you will also need a Snowplanet RFID card to access the lifts and ski mat in the Snow Dome. A deposit of $7 is charged for this RFID card. Please keep the card for future use or return it for a full refund.
Warm suitable clothing is required. The Snow Pass prices do not include rental clothing, rental equipment, gloves, helmets, wrist guards or lessons.
Helmets are compulsory for all skiers and snowboarders in the Snow Dome. If you do not have a helmet, you must hire one for $8.
Child rate is for children 16 years and under and Students. Proof of age or student status may be requested.

Family Snow Passes and Family Snow Pass Combos are only applicable to parents, children and grandparents of a single family unit. A Family should consist of at least two generations as this is in the spirit in which the family pass was created. Family pricing can be applied to up to 8 persons; proof of identification may be requested.
Night Passes.
The coolest nights are at Snowplanet.
All Night Passes start from 5:00pm
Pricing does not include helmets, rental clothing or gloves. These may be hired at an additional cost. We recommend you dress warmly as the temperature in the snow dome is minus 5 degrees.

What’s in the Terrain Park?
Gear rental.
Not dressed up for the slopes? No worries.
If you do not have your own clothing or equipment, Snowplanet has a variety of gear and clothing available for hire.
Alternatively you can purchase basic retail items from BASE located just inside Snowplanet on your arrival. Again, Child rate applies to children 16 years and under and Students. Proof of age or student status may be requested.
If you bring your own equipment, Snowplanet ‘Rentals’ staff are not able to set it up or tune it for you. All our ‘Rentals’ staff are trained on and authorised to set and adjust Snowplanet rental gear only.
We have a limited stock of Onesies for children aged 2 to 6+. These are only available in-store, subject to availability.
