How cold is it in the snow dome?
The temperature inside the snow dome is on average, around -5oC. Warm suitable clothing is required. If you do not have any you can hire these from Snowplanet.
How do you make the snow and how often?
Fresh snow is produced approximately three nights per week at various times to ensure that we have an adequate snow base and to ensure our terrain park is maintained to the highest possible standards. Our snow is groomed every night by our maintenance team to ensure that the snow is always in the best possible condition and ready for you to carve it up!
What do I need to bring with me?
Do you hire gloves or clothing?
Do you need to wear a helmet?
Yes. Helmets are compulsory for all skiers and snowboarders in the Snow Dome. If you do not have a helmet, you must hire one for $6.
What is the youngest age that can go in the snow & what is the smallest boot size?
We do not specify the youngest age for kids to be able to experience and feel the snow. This is left to the parent’s discretion, however, we recommend that you do not take children under 2 years of age onto the snow and/or infants that can’t walk.
We do not have a minimum age for skiing and snowboarding. However, the smallest ski boots we have are children’s size 10 and the smallest snowboard boots we have are size 11.
Snow boots are available for kids from size 3 for Snowplay.
