Snow Fun
Snowplanet’s Snow FUN products are free-flow sessions in our unique snow dome that provide an opportunity for students to develop in: Health and Physical Education, Participation and Contribution, Enhance all areas of Hauora, Learn and develop new motor skills and Education Outside the Classroom.
90 MINUTE WINTER WONDERLAND
Winter Wonderland offers a perfect environment, combining creative play and thrills in a safe but exciting environment. Students are welcome to take a toboggan down the toboggan track, or snow tube down our purpose-built tubing tracks. Tubing and tobogganing are a popular choice for a fun experience or reward for school groups.
2 HOUR SNOWSPORTS
School Snowsports introduces students to skiing and snowboarding in an adventurous and encouraging environment with experienced staff that make their first time on snow one to remember. The class is non-structured with Snowplanet Instructors on hand to supervise and encourage students, offering tips as students engage in experiential learning.
Snow PE
Snow PE can be taken as a one-off visit or as part of a tailored program over a number of sessions. We customise each Snow PE session for skiers and snowboarders from beginner through to advanced.
1 HOUR SNOW PE
Our 1hr Snow PE class streams skiers and snowboarders into small classes based on their level and ability. Classes offer structured learning and progression with the sole aim of taking students to the next level. Our instructors can customise content to the NZ curriculum.
1 HOUR SNOWLYMPICS ADD ON
Schools Snowlympics is a Team Building focused program where groups will participate in various structured activities, races, and games on skis. These activities will require communication, teamwork, leadership, and trust while learning new skills and challenging themselves. The team who skis together stays together.
Term Programs/Multiple Visits.
If you’re interested in bringing your students to Snowplanet for a number of visits, Snowplanet can create a Snow PE program ranging from beginner to advanced, as well as prepare students on our “Pathway to the next level” racing program. Term programs are typically 1 hour sessions, run weekly for a set number of weeks in the term.
Health & Safety at Snowplanet.
The Snowplanet team is committed to ensuring snow experiences for all our customers are as safe and enjoyable as possible.
We strive to maintain a safe learning environment for all students, teaching them slope safety, correct techniques and ensuring they are comfortable with the exercises they are completing.
Helmets are compulsory at Snowplanet for all students participating in Snowsports and included in all packages. Helmets are recommended when Tubing. Wristguards are highly recommended for snowboarders.
