Race Programs

Please note: All athlete training programs with the exception of Rippers n’ Riders requires the athlete to be able to ski/snowboard confidently from the top of Snowplanet, perform linked turns and controlled stops. Should you have any doubt about your level or your child’s level please arrange a Private Lesson so we can assess your/their level.

In addition to all the athlete training prices below, you may also need a Snowplanet RFID card to access the lifts and ski mat in the Snow Dome. A deposit of $7 is charged for this RFID card. Please keep the card for future use (duration of the program) or return it for a full refund.

Helmets are compulsory for all skiers and snowboarders in the Snow Dome. If you do not have a helmet, you must hire one for $8.

365 Ski Race Program

This 9-week program provides development on skiing technique and an introduction to a race course from 5:30pm, right through to advanced technique and individual training techniques for more experienced riders who are looking to push themselves at 7:15pm.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Members include: Year, Flexi Year & Family Membership holders.
  • Rental gear (equipment, clothing, gloves, helmet,) is NOT included in any of our Race Programs but can be hired seperately.
  • All fees must be paid prior to first session and are non-refundable.
  • Minimum numbers per program and groups apply.
  • Make up sessions only apply due to sickness or illness. Please contact michelle@snowplanet.co.nz to lodge a missed session.
  • Maximum of 2 make up sessions per term are allowed, with 1 carried over to the next term.
  • Photos and videos of your children might be taken during a session and used on Social Media, if you do not agree to this please contact michelle@snowplanet.co.nz
  • Snowplanet is not responsible for any injury that occurs during the use of our facility.
  • If you’re unable to book a program on the website, it may be because it has already started. If you’d still like to register and join, please contact michelle@snowplanet.co.nz

Term 3 is currently in progress and no longer accepting new term enrolments. However, drop-ins are still welcome. To drop in, simply show up at the front desk and make your payment.

Private Race Lane

The Private Race Lane is ideal for athletes wanting dedicated coaching with maximum gate time! Need to work on or correct a specific skill? Want a more personalised coaching focus? Enquire below!

 

Coaching sessions are 1 hour.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Maximum 3 athletes per coach.
  • $200 deposit required to secure a space for booking. All fees must be paid prior to going on snow.
  • Any cancellations must be made more than 24 hours before a session. Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to session will forfeit their deposit.

Gatebusters

Looking for maximum laps in a less structured session? Gatebusters offers access to a number of courses, with guided supervision rather than all out coaching. This means more laps while still allowing for feedback.

A minimum of 15 athletes per session is required by 4pm Friday each week. If a session is cancelled due to insufficient numbers, an email will be sent just after 4pm, and a refund in Snowplanet vouchers will be issued the following week.
