Race Programs.

Please note: All athlete training programs with the exception of Rippers n’ Riders requires the athlete to be able to ski/snowboard confidently from the top of Snowplanet, perform linked turns and controlled stops. Should you have any doubt about your level or your child’s level please arrange a Private Lesson so we can assess your/their level.

In addition to all the athlete training prices below, you may also need a Snowplanet RFID card to access the lifts and ski mat in the Snow Dome. A deposit of $6 is charged for this RFID card. Please keep the card for future use (duration of the program) or return it for a full refund.

Helmets are compulsory for all skiers and snowboarders in the Snow Dome. If you do not have a helmet, you must hire one for $6.

‘Entry’ Race Program

The ‘Entry’ Race Program provides a development on skiing technique and a basic introduction to a race course

‘Intermediate’ Race Program

The ‘Intermediate’ Race Program provides an introduction to advanced technique and begins to develop individual training techniques. This program develops individual racing techniques through a race course.

‘Advanced’ Race Program

The ‘Advanced’ Race Program is perfect for experienced racers looking to push themselves in a technical and competitive environment.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Members include: Combo Year, Year, Flexi-Year & Family Year Membership holders
  • All fees must be paid prior to the first session and are non-refundable
  • Minimum numbers per program and groups apply
  • Make up sessions only apply due to sickness or illness. Please contact michelle@snowplanet.co.nz to lodge a missed session
  • Maximum of 2 make up sessions per term are allowed, with 1 carried over to the next term
  • Photos and videos of your children might be taken during a session and used on Social Media if you do not agree to this please contact michelle@snowplanet.co.nz
  • Snowplanet is not responsible for any injury that occurs during the use of our facility.

Drop in sessions
For those who wish to come on a casual basis and not commit to a weekly training session you can join in at a drop in rate of: Non-Members $78 per session | Members $67 per session

Northern Ski Team Race

January 2022

Snowplanet & NST are pleased to offer January training weekends.  These weekend training sessions are open to all race athletes.

  • Athletes must sign up for the full weekend.
  • Booking must be made in advance and online only
  • No drop-ins are allowed
  • 1 Hour, 30 minutes of training each week.
Sessions:
  • Weekend 1: Sat 15th Jan 8am – 10am & Sun 16th Jan 8am – 10am
  • Weekend 2: Sat 22nd Jan 8am – 10am & Sun 23rd Jan 8am – 10am
  • Weekend 3: Sat 29th Jan 8am – 10am & Sun 30th Jan 8am – 10am
Pricing:

$200 for 1 weekend of Training

$360 for 2 weekends of Training

$540 for all 3 weekends of Training

Requirements:

Skiers must be parallel from the top of Snowplanet making controlled turns. If unsure about ability please book a Private Lesson with one of our race coaches prior to the start of the program.
